The region plays host to the British GP leg of Formula 1 at Silverstone, Motorcycle Grand Prix at Donington and American stock oval racing at Rockingham. These events make a major contrbution to the economy of the British Midlands and provide a huge draw for inward investment.
he National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham plays host to the annual Autosport International Exhibition, which features exhibits from all disciplines of the sport. Over 26,000 registered trade visitors and over 64,000 public visitors attended the event held in January 2006.
